The World Webscapes Build Process Is Easy. Let’s Break It Down Into Five Steps.

Most frequent questions and answers

Step One -The Meeting

Whether we meet in person, phone, or email, I will take this chance to listen to about your business. I want to know a bit about you, how your business runs, and where you want it to go. This will save a lot of time in the latter steps. We will talk about what your website needs to do. We will talk about budget goals. We will talk about your favorite colors and design. I will generally keep this meeting at about one hour. If you company has a logo or anything you think I would need already created, please bring it on a drive at this time or send via email.

Step Two – Domain Names And Hosting

After our first initial meeting, if you choose to continue, we will purchase domain names and hosting at a provider of your choice. If you already have a name and hosting please be prepared to allow me access to it via CPanel or equivalent. This costs about $75 per year at most economy hosting companies like GoDaddy or HostGator. I prefer this to be registered in your name and paid for on your bank account. In future years you will retain total ownership of your site.

Step Three – The Installs And Template Build

This is where things get fun. After your hosting is set up (usually 12 hours), we will install the latest versions of WordPress and the plugins that you have chosen to use. We will insert your logo along with images and verbiage provided. If you have only sent us the logo, we will use placeholder stock images and Lorem Ipsum text in a way to visualize where content needs to be placed. This generally takes 1-2 days depending on content provided. After we have install the basic look we feel best suits your needs based on our previous meetings, we will have another meeting with you to let you see our rough draft. At this time we would like you to keep in mind that this is still a diamond in the rough. You will be allowed to voice your feedback and we will make changes based upon them.

Step Four – The Training

After your website has been 80% completed, I would like to take the time to let you log in to your site with me and let me walk you through the features. We will make a post or product together. We will go over editing verbiage and images already on your site.

Step Five – The Polish And Release

At this time we should have received the verbiage and images/movies you need on your website and put them in correct locations. Menus will be built and all links will be working. The website should be at least able to be viewed by the general public at this time with a few under construction areas.
